Description
With the new Fortis 6 series riflescopes, Leica combines a perfect combination of high optical imaging performance and sleek puristic design – it makes the Fortis 6 2.5-15 x 56i unique among riflescopes with 6x zoom and a 56-mm lens diameter. Thanks to the generous range of magnifications, it is ideal for versatile use in a wide variety of hunting situations. With an up to 50 % larger exit pupil (lager than Visus model) and an extremely wide field of view at min and max magnification, the Leica Fortis 6 is today the hogh class riflescope of the 6 x zoom class. New scope has new, improved, more confortable and rigid H - PM (high precision mechanism\ for magnification setting. Light transmission now is close to 92 % (similarly obtaines for Magnus top serie ). Regulation of illuminated dot is available in 9 positions – for day and night conditions. Adjusting of vertical and side turrets is easy and comfortable.
In addition to the image quality and functionality of the Fortis riflescope, its nitrogen-filled aluminum housing is built for reliable performance in heavy rain, extreme humidity, and rapid temperature changes. Exposed lens surfaces are coated with AquaDura, a water-repellent layer that helps moisture roll off the lens surface and prevent occluding the scope's objective or eyepiece.
Fortis riflescopes are provided only with L- 4 a reticles.
Reticle L- 4a
With a crosshair thickness of 0.2 in/0.5 cm and distance between horizontal posts of 55 in/140 cm, these are the universal reticles for precision shooting. Dot coverage in cm at 10x magnification and 100m distance.
Thanks to multilayer plasma lens coatings, Leica achieves natural colour fidelity and outstanding light transmission. During construction, the lenses are covered with plasma layers that are only a few nanometres thick and are evaporated in a vacuum using a high-temperature plasma process. All lenses are made exclusively of glass produced by highly respected manufacturers – for minimal absorption.
Every riflescope offers particularly low vignetting – for maximum light-gathering power, especially at low magnification.
Leica possesses extraordinary expertise when it comes to stray-light suppression. For the simulation of stray-light and reflection, Leica uses its own software. The optimisation of lens distances, diametres and radii, along with the precise placing of light traps and baffles, have always been important elements in the development and manufacturing of Leica riflescopes and binoculars – for crisp and clear images.
Maximum contrast means: black is black and not dark grey; white is white and not light grey. High-resoution optics can only realise their true potential with maximum contrast. Using a combination of stray-light suppression, a choice of superior glass types and bold and extreme lens shapes, Leica creates fantastic contrast, giving you precise and detailed images, even in poor light.
Package includes : riflescope caps for front lens and eyepiece,, cleaning tissue, battery
