To withstand the repeated recoil of regular use, the one-piece maintube is made of lightweight but strong aluminum with a robust 30mm diameter. L-4a Reticle. Long thicker posts on the horizontal and lower vertical axes are ideal for close-range use in conjunction with the center dot. Thin center hairs that extend up on the vertical axis won't obstruct targets on higher powers . Off positions between each intensity level allow the user to quickly return to their preferred setting.

The Leica L-4a reticle placed in the second focal plane (remains constant throughout the zoom range) and serves as a universal hunting reticle for ethically-placed shots. The crosshair thickness of 0.8 cm, 140 cm between bars, and the very fine illuminated dot with 0.6 cm coverage, make it a highly precise reticle for all hunt types. BDC – Bullet drop compensation. The BDC lets you adjust the reticle to various shooting distances. Using the calibrations, the reticle can be set so that the exact impact point is guaranteed on the target. The BDC is easy to use and functions with absolute precision in all weather conditions.

Direct Dial Ring. With a “direct dial ring” (set from 12 rings is available separetely) , Leica’s BDC works even more quickly and intuitively. Simply replace the standard engraved ring with a ring featuring your range information, and start selecting the precise shooting distance. With 12 different rings to choose from, you can pick the best-fit one for your caliber and load.
